We can’t keep driving luxury cars while widows suffer—McDan tells Ghanaian rich men
Business mogul Dr. Daniel McKorley, CEO of McDan Group, has challenged privileged individuals and organizations to do more for widows, emphasizing that wealth should not be enjoyed in isolation while others struggle.
“We can’t keep driving our luxury cars while our mothers and sisters are suffering in our communities. It just doesn’t make sense,” he said during the 2025 McDan Foundation Widows Support Project at Mantse Agbonaa, James Town.
The initiative, held on March 9, brought together over 6,000 widows from various communities, offering them health screenings and economic relief.
McKorley urged NGOs and philanthropists to step up, stressing that widows deserve better support in society.
He also announced plans to expand the initiative to the Ashanti, Northern, Volta, and Western regions, reaffirming his commitment to uplifting widows across Ghana.
